WZ - Construction

VA-39W from 6.6 mi SE of Goshen to 6.7 mi N of Lexington

On VA-39 (Maury River Rd) in the County of Rockbridge from Mccurdy Ln; Rick Mast Lp; Rt. 732E/W (Rockbridge County) to Hart Rd; Rt. 803N/S (Rockbridge County), motorists can expect potential delays in this area from 07/23/14 at 8:00 AM until 07/23/14 at 5:00 PM due to construction activities. The east left shoulder, through lanes, and right shoulder are closed. The west left shoulder, through lanes, and right shoulder are closed. VA-39 will be closed daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at various work sites in the Goshen Pass area. The road will be open to two-way traffic during non-work hours. Daytime closures on VA-39 (Maury River Road) will start Monday, July 14, 2014. This will allow contractors to do slope-reinforcement work in several locations through the area. Detours are: Eastbound traffic will be diverted south on Route 780 (Bratton’s Run), east on Route 850 (West Midland Trail), then follow Interstate 64 eastbound to Exit 55 at Lexington to rejoin VA-39. Westbound traffic will detour onto Interstate 64 westbound at Lexington, take Exit 43 to Route 850 West, then Route 780 North to rejoin VA-39.
